Manager of Development
Terry Billie is our new Manager of Development and comes to Farmer Foodshare with over 25 years of experience in raising funds for a variety of non-profit organizations. Terry is thrilled to join Farmer Foodshare and is ready to roll up her sleeves to build awareness of our work through the new Farmer Friday Campaign, raise funds to support our North Carolina Farmer Families, and secure grants and gifts that will be used to provide fresh local food for all.
Originally from just north of New Yawk City, she moved to Durham five years ago, escaping the long cold winters, high rents, and big traffic of the north to revel in the dewy warm weather, delicious southern food, friendly people, and lush green environment of North Carolina. Prior to joining the Farmer Foodshare team, she was with the Museum of Life and Science, managing their Corporate and Foundation relationships and the annual fund, and she plans to introduce her connections to Farmer Foodshare’s good work.
In her spare time, Terry enjoys tending her pollinator and vegetable gardens, exploring North Carolina breweries and recipes, reading, practicing yoga, and doing cat rescue. She shares her life with her clowder of nine former feral felines, who are always impatiently waiting for their nighttime treats and cuddles.
